Dead Sea Park is located on the eastern shore of the Dead Sea in Jordan, the lowest point on Earth at approximately -430 meters elevation. The satellite imagery reveals a complex shoreline with multiple shallow bays and mineral-rich salt deposits creating visible white crusting along the water's edge. The water body is landlocked with high salinity and minimal fetch distance. The northeast-facing coastline has several small protected bays visible in the imagery. However, this location is fundamentally unsuitable for kitesurfing. The average wind speed of 5.1 knots falls significantly below the 12-15 knot minimum required for kitesurfing, and the wind reliability of only 0.9% indicates extremely inconsistent conditions. The shallow, mineral-laden waters and enclosed nature of the Dead Sea create additional complications. While the spot offers calm, protected water suitable for beginners in terms of wave conditions, the near-absence of reliable wind makes consistent practice impossible. This location would only be viable during rare strong wind events.
