Plesheevo Lake is an inland freshwater lake located in central Russia, approximately 130km northeast of Moscow. The lake features relatively flat terrain with shores oriented primarily north-south. As an enclosed water body, fetch is severely limited, restricting wave development and wind acceleration across the water surface. The extremely low wind reliability of 1.5% and minimal average wind speed of 5.2 knots make this spot highly unsuitable for kitesurfing, as most sessions would lack sufficient wind to generate lift or forward motion. Winter conditions present additional challenges including potential ice coverage. The shallow nature of much of the lake and enclosed geography make it primarily better suited for other water sports like windsurfing in stronger conditions or recreational activities. Any kitesurfing attempts would require exceptional wind events significantly exceeding average conditions. The spot is functionally non-viable for regular kitesurfing practice and should be considered only for experienced riders seeking marginal wind sessions under very specific meteorological windows.
