Al Ghandour Beach is located on the northeastern shore of the Dead Sea in Jordan, facing northwest toward the water body. This sheltered bay environment features developed coastal infrastructure including marinas, residential areas, and breakwater structures. The spot is characterized by weak prevailing winds averaging just 6.8 knots with extremely low reliability at 3.3%, making consistent sessions rare. Water temperatures average 26.6°C year-round. The bay configuration provides some wind channeling but offers limited fetch distance due to the narrow water body. Best conditions occur with northeast winds providing side-shore flow parallel to the coast. The relatively calm, protected waters and shallow bay characteristics suit beginner-level kiters when wind is available, though wind scarcity is the primary limiting factor. Kiters should be aware of boat traffic from the marina operations, underwater shallow zones, and jetty/breakwater structures. The developed nature of the surrounding area offers amenities but limits launch space. This spot is better suited for flatwater practice than wave riding.
