Balagog Beach

Balagog Beach is located on a protected bay in southern Thailand facing west toward the Andaman Sea. The coastline runs north-south with gentle sloping terrain transitioning from agricultural land to a narrow beach strip. This is a shallow, sheltered bay environment characterized by muddy waters and minimal wave generation. The spot experiences extremely poor wind conditions with only 3.9% reliability and very light average winds around 4.6 knots, making it largely unsuitable for kitesurfing. Wave heights average 0.24m, indicating essentially flat water with no swell penetration. Best wind direction would be from the north (side-shore), though wind is consistently insufficient. The shallow bay waters and residential proximity create additional constraints. This location is better suited for other water activities than kitesurfing. Visiting kiters should seek alternative spots with more reliable wind exposure and deeper water conditions.
