The bay configuration provides some protection from open ocean swell but severely limits wave development. Best conditions occur with northwest winds (315°), which provide side-shore flow. The shallow lagoon areas and visible breakwater structures present navigation hazards. Water temperatures average 19.7°C, suitable for year-round kitesurfing with appropriate wetsuits. This spot suits beginners during the rare consistent wind periods, as light winds and minimal obstacles reduce risk. However, the consistently low wind and swell make this primarily a destination during unusual weather windows rather than a reliable regular spot.
