East Bay

East Bay is a sheltered bay in Turks and Caicos characterized by a large curved sandy beach and shallow, protected waters. The bay opens to the northeast with dense mangrove coverage on the eastern perimeter and developed coastline to the west. This is a lagoon-style spot with moderate fetch from open ocean. The shallow, smooth water conditions make it suitable for beginners and progression riders. Wind reliability is moderate at 48.6%, with average winds around 12 knots. Best conditions occur with southeast to southwest winds that provide side-shore angles across the bay's opening. The environment requires awareness of shallow sandbars, particularly in the central and southern portions of the bay. Mangrove forests limit safe exit points to the western developed area. Wave conditions are minimal (0.9m average), making this spot ideal for freestyle and flatwater practice rather than wave riding. Water temperature averages 26.8°C year-round. Suitable for beginner to intermediate kiters seeking protected, predictable conditions.
