Güzelceköy

Güzelceköy is a small bay located on the northern Aegean coast of Turkey, facing northeast into the Aegean Sea. The spot consists of a sheltered bay with a sandy beach and shallow water extending several hundred meters offshore. The surrounding terrain is agricultural and semi-developed, with gentle slopes leading to the coastline. This spot is characterized by light and inconsistent winds, with only 28.2% reliability. The average wind speed of 9.4 knots is marginal for kitesurfing, and prevailing winds appear to come from the northwest, making northwesterly winds the best option for side-shore conditions. Water conditions are choppy rather than wave-producing, with minimal swell exposure. The shallow bay provides a safe environment for beginners learning body-drag and control, though the low wind reliability means sessions may be frequently interrupted. The protected nature of the bay limits wave development, making this primarily a flat-water spot. Kiters should expect light, variable conditions and should visit during stronger wind periods. Best suited for beginner progression when wind is available.
