Kersidan

Kersidan is a crescent-shaped bay located on the Breton coast of northwestern France. The bay faces west toward the Atlantic, with a sandy beach backed by residential properties and agricultural land. The northern headland features rocky outcrops, while the southern approach is more open. This is a protected bay environment rather than exposed ocean, resulting in relatively small, consistent wave patterns suitable for learning. The spot experiences moderate Atlantic swell and coastal breezes, though wind reliability remains low at 16.2%. Best conditions occur with northerly winds (0°) which provide side-shore conditions across the bay. Water temperatures average around 13°C, requiring appropriate thermal protection. The bay's sheltered nature makes it suitable for beginner and early intermediate kiters, though the small average wave height and limited wind consistency mean sessions may be less frequent than exposed coastal breaks.
