Les Sablettes

Les Sablettes is located on a sheltered bay on the Mediterranean coast near Toulon, France. The bay faces northwest toward the water, with a sandy beach backed by residential development. The spot is characterized by calm, protected conditions typical of Mediterranean bays, with moderate water chop rather than organized swell. The presence of numerous moored boats and proximity to commercial harbor operations limits the usable riding area to the central and western portions of the bay. This is primarily a beginner-friendly location suitable for light-wind practice and skill development. Wind reliability is relatively low at 17.7%, and average wind speeds of 7.9 knots are marginal for most kitesurfing activity. Best conditions occur with northerly winds providing side-shore conditions. The spot works best during summer thermal wind patterns. Kiters should be experienced with boat traffic awareness and stay clear of moored vessels. The sheltered nature makes this more suitable for progression than advanced performance riding.
