Lillskaersudden

Lillskaersudden is a small bay spot located on Sweden's east coast near the Bothnian Sea. The site features a sheltered bay configuration with a narrow entrance channel and shallow water areas visible as mudflats in the satellite imagery. The residential development along the shoreline indicates this is a populated coastal settlement with limited space for water sports activities. This spot offers protected conditions suitable for beginners due to its bay geography and reduced wave exposure. However, the extremely low wind reliability (5.6%) and modest average wind speed (6.8 knots) present significant challenges for consistent kitesurfing sessions. Northerly winds would provide the most favorable side-shore conditions given the eastward-facing coastline. The shallow, choppy water suggests limited fetch and tidal influences. Kiters should be aware of the shallow mudflats, narrow channel entrance, and proximity to residential areas. Best conditions occur during rare strong northerly wind events. This spot is marginal for kitesurfing and more suitable as a backup location when primary Baltic Sea spots are unavailable.
