Moose Point State Park

Moose Point State Park is located on the coast of Maine within a protected bay system. The coastline faces east toward the Atlantic, with water enclosed by rocky headlands and densely forested shores. This is a sheltered bay environment with limited wind exposure due to surrounding terrain and vegetation. Water conditions are characteristically flat with minimal wave energy (0.19m average). The spot experiences very low wind reliability at 5.3% and modest average wind speeds of 6.4 knots, making consistent conditions rare. The rocky, irregular coastline with shallow areas near shore presents navigation challenges.
