Nai Yang Beach North

Nai Yang Beach North is a northwestern-facing beach break located on Thailand's Andaman coast near Phuket. The spot consists of a sandy beach with shallow nearshore waters, backed by agricultural operations and developed infrastructure. The water body is directly connected to the Andaman Sea with light-swell characteristics. This location experiences extremely poor wind conditions year-round, with only 0.2% wind reliability and average winds of just 4.4 knots—well below minimum kitesurfing requirements (typically 10+ knots). Average wave heights of 0.56m are insufficient for kitesurfing. Theoretically, side-shore winds would come from the northeast (45°) or southwest (225°), but given the consistently low wind resources, this spot is not practically viable for kitesurfing. The shallow waters and limited beach space add operational constraints. This spot is better suited for other water activities or should only be considered by riders seeking extreme light-wind equipment testing under ideal seasonal windows.
