Narathiwat

Narathiwat is a coastal beach break located on the western shore of the Andaman Sea in southern Thailand. The coast faces westward toward open water, with a sandy beach backed by residential and agricultural development. The spot experiences extremely flat water conditions with minimal fetch distance, resulting in an average wave height of only 0.50m. Wind reliability is critically low at 0.6%, making consistent kitesurfing conditions rare. The area features shallow water near the shore with scattered obstacles visible on the beach. Average wind speed of 3.9 knots is marginal for kitesurfing, requiring larger kites and lighter riders. Best conditions occur with north or south winds to provide side-shore flow. This location suits only beginner riders during rare favorable wind windows, though consistent sessions should not be expected. The spot is better suited for light wind training when conditions occasionally align, rather than as a reliable kitesurfing destination.
