Necker Island

Necker Island is a small, privately-held island in the British Virgin Islands surrounded by open ocean with no protective barriers or lagoon systems. The coastline faces predominantly northwest, with rocky cliffs and limited sandy beach access. This is an exposed oceanic spot characterized by direct Atlantic swell exposure and rough-chop conditions typical of open-ocean environments. The spot receives consistent trade winds averaging 12.1 knots with 51.8% reliability, though wind conditions can be unpredictable. Best conditions occur with northeast to east winds (45-90°) that provide side-shore to side-onshore angles to the northwestern-facing coast.
