The spot features a protected inner bay with a sand beach backing populated coastal settlement. The bay faces northwest toward the Atlantic, with rocky points framing both north and south sides. Water conditions are rough with average waves around 1.6m and rough water texture characteristic of Atlantic exposure. The bay provides moderate shelter from direct swell while remaining accessible to wind. Side-shore conditions occur with northeasterly or southwesterly winds; northeast winds (45°) are preferable given Atlantic storm patterns. Wind reliability is low at 15%, making consistency a significant limitation. The spot suits intermediate kiters comfortable navigating moderate chop, rocky boundaries, and tidal currents. The protected bay configuration reduces fetch distance compared to open ocean, resulting in choppier rather than lined-up swell. Beginners should avoid due to rock hazards and current complexity. Best sessions occur during dry season (November-May) when trade winds strengthen and consistency improves slightly.
