North Marina is a sheltered bay located in Lebanon's coastal industrial zone, characterized by significant maritime infrastructure including container terminals, storage facilities, and active anchorages. The bay opens toward the northwest, providing some exposure to prevailing westerly winds while remaining partially protected by surrounding land. Water conditions are typically choppy rather than swell-oriented, with minimal wave development due to the bay's enclosed nature and short fetch distance. The spot suits beginners and early intermediate kiters seeking calmer, more controlled conditions in light-to-moderate winds. However, heavy boat traffic throughout the bay presents a significant management challenge. Shallow sandbars in the northern section limit launch and recovery areas. Best conditions occur with northwest winds (around 20°) that provide side-shore approach along the main beach area. Wind reliability is notably low at 10.6%, making consistent sessions uncommon. Kiters should coordinate carefully with maritime traffic and avoid areas near operating port facilities.
