Ochheuteal Beach is a developed coastal strip in southern Cambodia facing west toward the Gulf of Thailand. The beach is characterized by dense urbanization with hotels, restaurants, and tourist infrastructure directly backing the shoreline. Water conditions are consistently flat with minimal wave action, averaging only 0.36m. Wind reliability is critically low at 0.2%, making this an extremely unreliable kitesurfing location. Average wind speeds of 3.9 knots are insufficient for most kitesurfing activities. The beach offers protected, calm conditions suitable only in rare favorable wind windows. Significant obstacles include boat traffic, shallow areas near shore, and various coastal structures. Best wind direction would be northerly (side-shore), but such conditions are exceptionally rare. This spot is suitable only for absolute beginners in the rare event of adequate wind, or as an alternative during poor conditions at nearby locations. Kiters should expect predominantly glassy, windless conditions and plan accordingly. Local knowledge regarding seasonal wind patterns is essential before attempting this location.
