The lagoon faces south toward open ocean, with the main landmass and developed areas to the north. This protected water body provides calm conditions suitable for learning and progression, though wind consistency is a significant limitation at only 25.1% reliability. Average winds of 9.5 knots are marginal for kitesurfing, requiring optimal conditions. Best wind direction is from the east, creating side-shore conditions across the lagoon width. The shallow lagoon environment with scattered coral heads demands careful navigation and awareness of tidal movements. Beginner-friendly due to protected waters and minimal swell (0.82m average), but the combination of low wind reliability, shallow depths requiring precise launching, and reef hazards necessitates local knowledge. Water temperature of 28°C is warm year-round. Most suitable during seasonal wind patterns when reliability improves.
