Punta Marina

Punta Marina is a shallow lagoon spot located on Italy's Adriatic coast, facing east toward the water. The area is characterized by extensive residential development with hotels, vacation homes, and recreational facilities dominating the inland side. A narrow sandy beach strip separates the built environment from a broad, flat lagoon with breakwaters and groins visible throughout. The water is extremely calm with negligible wave action, making this primarily a flatwater kitesurfing location. Wind reliability is very low at 4.2%, with average wind speeds of only 5.9 knots—marginal for kitesurfing. North winds (0°) would provide side-shore conditions. The spot suits only beginners in very light wind conditions, as the minimal waves and low wind consistency limit progression opportunities. Access is constrained by dense development. Shallow water throughout the lagoon requires careful navigation, and marked boat channels indicate recreational traffic. This location is better suited for light-wind freestyle or learning than freestyle progression or wave riding.
