Tabsai Beach

Tabsai Beach is located on the western coast of the Gulf of Thailand, facing west into a protected bay. The spot features a developed coastline with significant residential and commercial infrastructure inland. Water conditions are characterized by flat water and minimal wind exposure, making this a challenging location for consistent kitesurfing. The average wind speed of 4.4 knots is well below the 10-12 knots typically required for kitesurfing, and the 0.1% wind reliability indicates very poor consistency. Wave heights average only 0.25m, suggesting limited swell exposure due to the protected bay setting. Visible boat traffic and jetties in the northern section present navigation hazards. This spot would only be suitable for beginners on the rare days when wind conditions are favorable, and even then with marginal conditions. The dense development and shallow water characteristics limit maneuverability. Most visiting kiters would find this location unsuitable for meaningful practice or progression.
