The Lighthouse

The lagoon is characterized by multiple sandbars creating distinct water channels and protected shallow areas. The spot offers consistent water access through natural channels, with excellent protection from ocean swell due to the extensive offshore sandbar system visible in the imagery. Best conditions occur with northwesterly winds that blow parallel to the shore, providing side-shore conditions. The spot suits beginners and intermediate kiters due to shallow, forgiving water and low wave heights (0.78m average). Primary considerations include variable water depth requiring local knowledge of tidal patterns, navigation around sandbars during low tide, and potential for strong tidal currents in narrow channels. The extremely low wind reliability (0.3%) means consistent riding days are rare, making this a seasonal destination dependent on monsoon patterns. Seagrass and shallow zones require careful launch and landing zone selection.
