The area offers protected conditions relative to open Mediterranean exposure due to the Barcelona coastline configuration. Best conditions occur with northwesterly winds that provide side-shore angles parallel to the beach. The spot suits beginners and intermediate kiters due to relatively small average wave heights (0.58m) and forgiving sand bottom. However, the extremely low wind reliability (1.0%) and modest average wind speed (4.9 knots) make consistent sessions unlikely. Kiters should be aware of the shallow nearshore zone and navigate around visible pier structures. The beach is densely populated during daylight hours, requiring awareness of swimmers and other water users. Most viable during winter months when stronger systems move through the Mediterranean.
