Cala della Morte

Cala della Morte is a small bay located on Italy's Tyrrhenian coast, characterized by protected waters bordered by agricultural land inland and developed residential areas. The bay faces southeast with a rocky/sandy beach break format. The spot is sheltered by its bay configuration, resulting in very small average swell (0.63m) and minimal wind reliability. Side-shore conditions occur with northeastern winds (approximately 45°), though such winds are infrequent at this location. The low wind reliability (5.3%) makes this spot inconsistent for kitesurfing, with an average wind speed of only 5.9 knots. The shallow, protected waters and rocky coastal features make this suitable primarily for beginners when conditions align, but sessions will be rare. Better suited for light-wind wave riding or ground training rather than reliable kitesurfing.
