Calaguas Islands

Calaguas Islands features a protected lagoon system with multiple small islands and shallow water channels. The lagoon is bounded by forested landmasses to the east and opens toward deeper water to the west. The spot comprises shallow turquoise waters with scattered rocky islands creating natural divisions within the lagoon. This lagoon setting provides some wind protection due to surrounding land features, which explains the relatively low wind reliability at 25.4%. The shallow water (1-3 meters in most areas) and scattered obstacles make this suited for intermediate riders comfortable navigating around islands and variable conditions. South winds (180°) would be side-shore to the western-facing main lagoon entrance, providing the most consistent offshore access. Conditions are best during the regional wind season when trade winds strengthen. The small average wave height (1.08m) indicates this is primarily a flatwater lagoon spot rather than a swell-exposed break. Kiters should be experienced with tight maneuvering around obstacles and aware of strong tidal flows between islands, particularly during tide changes.
