Choralillo

Choralillo is a coastal kitesurfing spot in northern Chile facing west toward the Pacific Ocean. The spot features a rocky shoreline with moderate exposure to open ocean swell. The terrain is arid desert meeting the coast, with sparse vegetation and visible road access. Average wind conditions are light (6.1 knots) with low reliability (5.2%), making consistent sessions challenging. Wave heights average 1.87m with rough water conditions typical of this Pacific coast region. The rocky substrate and shallow near-shore areas require careful navigation during entry and exit. This spot is best suited for intermediate kiters comfortable with rocky launches and variable wind conditions. North winds provide side-shore conditions. Sessions are most viable during periods of higher wind activity, as average conditions are marginal. The remote, undeveloped character of the spot means limited facilities and services.
