El Consuelo

The lagoon's east-west orientation and sheltered nature create a protected but confined riding area with limited fetch distance. The shallow surroundings and rocky features visible along both shores present navigation challenges. Best conditions occur with northerly winds that provide true side-shore flow across the lagoon's length. The extremely low wind reliability (5.1%) and modest average wave height (1.89m) suggest this spot is marginal for consistent kitesurfing and better suited as an alternative or secondary location when other nearby coastal breaks are unfavorable. This spot suits intermediate kiters comfortable with confined spaces and shallow-water navigation. The limited wind window and fetch make progression difficult. Local knowledge of tidal movements and seasonal conditions is valuable. Access and facilities appear minimal based on the remote desert setting.
