Feskjær

Feskjær is a sheltered bay on the eastern Norwegian coast facing east into the Oslofjord system. The spot comprises a narrow bay with residential development along the shoreline, backed by forested areas and agricultural land. Two small sandy areas with rocky outcrops create a contained body of water with limited fetch. Best wind direction is northerly (0°), providing side-shore conditions parallel to the coastline. The spot suits beginners and early intermediate kiters due to sheltered conditions and manageable water. However, wind reliability is very low at 10.5%, making consistent sessions difficult. Water temperatures average 8.6°C requiring thermal protection year-round. The shallow, choppy nature of the bay generates wind-driven chop rather than organized swell. Avoid boat traffic near the residential areas and be aware of rocky underwater features. This location is best suited for light-wind practice and progression rather than challenging wave riding.
