Holiday Beach

Holiday Beach is located on the northern coast of Hainan Island, China, facing north into the South China Sea. The spot consists of a developed coastal bay with sandy beach access and extensive residential and commercial development along the waterfront. Water conditions are characteristically flat with minimal wave formation. The primary limitation is extremely poor wind reliability at 2.9%, with average wind speeds of only 6.4 knots—below the threshold for consistent kitesurfing. Best wind conditions would come from easterly (90°) or westerly (270°) directions providing side-shore flow. The shallow, protected bay waters suit only beginners on rare windy days. Significant boat traffic, coastal infrastructure, and consistently weak wind conditions make this spot unsuitable for regular progression or serious kitesurfing practice. The location functions primarily as a beach resort rather than a dedicated water sports venue. Kiters should seek alternative spots with higher wind reliability.
