Mezcalitos

Mezcalitos is a shallow lagoon spot located on Mexico's Caribbean coast, facing eastward toward the open ocean. The lagoon is separated from deeper water by a narrow barrier beach and sandbar system. Multiple moored boats and residential structures line the shore, indicating active maritime use and developed waterfront. The spot features very shallow water with visible seagrass beds and sandy bottom throughout most of the lagoon. Wind reliability is extremely poor at 1.1%, making consistent sessions rare. Average wind speed of 6.4 knots is minimal for kitesurfing. Wave heights average only 1.15m, suitable for beginners but not for progression. Best wind direction is northerly for side-shore conditions. This spot suits only beginner-level kiters seeking flat-water practice in calm conditions.
