Playa 3 is a sheltered beach location on an inland lake system in Patagonia, Argentina. The spot features a sandy/pebbly beach facing eastward with shallow water extending from shore. The enclosed lake environment provides natural protection from large swell but significantly limits wind consistency and fetch. The low wind reliability (25.1%) combined with modest average wind speed (9.2 knots) makes this primarily a light-wind destination. Best conditions occur with northerly winds providing side-shore flow parallel to the beach. The shallow, enclosed waters and light wind profile make this suitable for beginners and those practicing in controlled conditions. However, kiters should note the substantial waiting periods between good wind days. Water temperature averaging 16.1°C requires appropriate thermal protection. The pebbly bottom and visible rocky areas near shore demand attention to landing zones and entry/exit points. This location works best as a training spot rather than a primary destination.
