Pointe de Saire

Pointe de Saire is a bay-side spot on the Cotentin Peninsula in Normandy, France. The shore faces northeast into a shallow bay with visible rocky features and complex bathymetry. The spot is characterized by choppy, wind-driven conditions rather than organized swell, typical of bay environments. Extensive residential development occupies the immediate coastline, limiting safe launch and landing areas. Best conditions occur with northwest to north winds (315-360°), which provide side-shore coverage parallel to the coast. Wind reliability is modest at 29%, and average wave height of 0.44m reflects the bay's shelter from open ocean swells. This spot suits intermediate kiters comfortable with variable, choppy water and technical navigation around obstacles. The shallow bay and rocky features require careful route planning and awareness of depth changes. Winter conditions bring stronger winds and larger chops. Launch and landing zones are constrained by development and should be scouted beforehand. Not suitable for freestyle or wave riding but workable for freeriding in consistent northwest winds.
