Porto Corsini is a sheltered lagoon located near Ravenna on Italy's Adriatic coast. The spot features a north-facing shoreline with an extensive system of breakwaters, jetties, and dikes that define the harbor infrastructure. The lagoon is characterized by extremely flat water with minimal wave generation, making it purely wind-dependent for kite riding. The shallow water and numerous man-made structures throughout the area require careful navigation. With only 3.5% wind reliability and average winds of just 5.6 knots, this spot experiences very limited usable conditions. The flat, protected environment suits absolute beginners when wind does arrive, but the scarcity of reliable wind makes it an unreliable destination. Water temperatures average 15.8°C, requiring seasonal consideration. The lagoon setting provides some protection but severely limits progression opportunities. This spot is best viewed as a local alternative for flat-water practice rather than a consistent or challenging kitesurfing destination.
