Azemmour Plage

Azemmour Plage is a west-facing beach break on Morocco's Atlantic coast near the industrial town of Azemmour. The spot features a long sandy beach with developed infrastructure including port facilities and commercial areas to the north. The exposed coastline faces the open Atlantic Ocean, providing direct ocean swell exposure. Water conditions are rough with average waves of 1.69m and cold water temperature around 19.4°C. Wind reliability is extremely low at 4.2% with average winds of only 6.8 knots, making this an unreliable spot for consistent kitesurfing. Best conditions occur with northerly winds (around 0°) which provide side-shore conditions. The surrounding area is heavily developed with industrial and residential zones, limiting privacy. This spot suits beginners when wind conditions align, but the low wind reliability and industrial setting make it more suitable for supplementary sessions rather than primary training. Strong currents and shallow areas require local knowledge. The beach provides accessible entry/exit points but inspect conditions carefully before launching.
