Best conditions occur with northeast winds (approximately 45°), which approach side-shore across the lagoon's southeast-facing main water body. The spot's protection from ocean swell makes it suitable for light-wind days and progression riders developing control skills. Water temperatures average 6°C, requiring thermal protection year-round. Limited wind reliability (16.9%) and low average wind speed (8.6 knots) mean sessions depend on specific weather patterns. The narrow entrance channel and shallow sandbars require careful navigation.
